2024 Retrospective
In 2024 I archived1 16,217 photos, 4,633 of which, I marked as favorites. (2023’s numbers for comparison: 15,705 archived, 4,703 favorites). Pretty consistent output I would say.
28 % of images are tagged “home”, which means I took them at and around my home (30 % in 2023). 47 % of all of my 2024 images have at least one of my daughters in them, which is exactly last year’s number and indicates again, that documenting my family is by far the most important part of my photographic practice.
This next stat came as a shock to me: The Fujifilm X-T5 clearly surpassed the Leica M10-P as the front runner for most pictures taken. This is the first time, since I got the Leica that I have used another camera more than it. I still consider the M my favorite camera of all time, but I must say, the X-T5 is something special as well. It feels a lot like the original X-T1, which I also enjoyed very much.
The numbers: 58 % of all images were taken with the X-T5, 33 % with the Leica M10-P and 9 % with the Leica Q.
I took the most images in March, 2,056 to be exact.

(Books I created in 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020)
- As I explained before: This is the number of images I intend to keep forever. I pressed the shutter a couple of times more than this though, but some images are discarded before they make it into Lightroom.↩︎
