Hi, I’m Florian!

I am a dad and husband, web designer/developer by trade and photographer at heart.

Status Updates

We recently setup FreeScout to handle picu support requests and so far I am very happy with it! Frees up our regular email inbox and no more copying between emails and Asana. 🙈 Next step is to add a couple of modules to make it even better.

My vacation is almost over. I haven’t done anything “productive” with my time. But to be fair, I didn’t feel like checking things off of a list for a while. (The task list at work is pretty much bottomless, there’s always more stuff to do, and I didn’t want the same for my holidays.) That being said, I wish I had had some time to work on my photo projects or this website, but it wasn’t meant to be, I guess. We travelled a bunch, spent some time at the ocean and made some memories as a family. The only time I opened my laptop was to import my photos and post them to the photo blog. (More than 200 consecutive posts now, btw.) Posting daily definitely felt much easier during the time off. Which makes me think that I need to find a routine again, that gets me outside more, because that automatically leads to more photo opportunities. Like during the beginning of the photo blog, when I had regular calisthenics sessions. (Which had lots of other benefits as well.) 🤔

Zeitgeist App

I just discovered Zeitgeist – it’s like social media posting only to yourself. As a Day One user with a longtime daily streak, I built a Shortcuts automation to import Zeitgeist posts into daily journal entries.

I could link to each article Cedric writes on his photoni.st blog, because they are all very good.
