March 2025
This is a bit late, but I haven’t gotten around to anything other than family time and work in the last couple of weeks. Blogging – or sharing much of anything in general – does not come naturally to me and is one of the first things that immediately takes a backseat when more pressing matters are at hand. (Maybe aside from the photography stuff, but I still struggled to get the daily post out this week.) Some people’s output on their blogs or on social media is absolutely baffling to me. Anyway, here it goes:
Photography
- Nothing besides the blog happened in March.
Media Consumption
-
The Crow: Classic from my youth. We were huge fans of this back in the day. Hadn’t seen it in ages. Still kinda cool.
-
Conclave: Loved it. Perfect pacing. Love where they went with the story at the end.
-
Venom: The Last Dance: Ugh. Rough one. Not sure what I saw actually. Just weird.
-
Invincible (Season 3): I don’t think the first two seasons were that brutal/bloody? It makes sense, story-wise, I guess, but to me it feels like a bit of an (unnecessary) distraction.
-
Dope Thief: Interesting premise, first episodes were quite intense. Let’s see where this goes.
-
Mad Max: Fury Road: Haven’t watched this in a long time. Still visually stunning, epic.
-
Daredevil: Born Again: Glad they used the cast from the original Netflix series. Vincent D’Onofrio as Fisk is so good.
YouTube
MonsterTrack, alleycat race: Terry followed Emma, who won! Watched the second half of it live. Absolutely fascinating. I’d love to ride like this. Here are the highlights, if you do not want to watch the full race.
Family & Miscellaneous
-
Visited Claudio in Zürich to talk shop. Traveled through Basel, met up with some of WCEU organizers.
-
How is my daughter eight years old already?
-
Speaking of oldest daughter: We had a belated birthday party. She was sick at her birthday so we had to move the date. The weather was great, we spent most of the time in the backyard.
-
She also had a dance performance at school: Very well organized for such an event. The kids were excited and had fun. (After a somewhat traumatic experience with her first ballet performance, where she was basically pushed onto the stage by her trainer, she really enjoyed herself this time!)
I probably forgot lots of stuff.
On to the next one – which is half way over already. 🙈
