I visited New York this March for the second time in only five months. Last time I mainly took pictures of my surroundings, like the buildings, bridges and streets of New York. This time I focused (no pun intended) on the people in their surroundings.

I find pictures with people in them way more interesting than without. I will definitely try to take more photos like that in the future.

It is not always easy to ask for permission from total strangers to take their picture. But I found it easy enough in New York – almost everybody I asked, said yes.

The following are my favorite images from this second trip.
