I had a couple of hours to explore old town today. Here are some of the images I took.
A couple of weeks back, the wife and I spent one month on Ko Lanta. It is a small island in the Andaman Sea, approximately 80 km east of Phuket.
We were on Ko Lanta for almost a month, and besides being a very nice place to live and work (which I will discuss in another post), there was one thing, that was particularly outstanding – and we tried to be there for it every day: Sunsets.
Songkran
Yesterday Thailand celebrated the first day of Songkran, which marks the beginning of the new year. It involves lots of water. A little glimpse of what went down around Phra Ae on Ko Lanta:
We went to a Muay Thai tournament yesterday. It was the last event of the season here on Ko Lanta. KoHub got us VIP tickets, so I was able to get right next to the ring to document the spectacle from a very close distance.
Yet another visit to yet another market. This time: Naka Weekend Market, which is located along Chao Fa West Road just outside of Phuket Town.
As you probably have guessed: You can visit a market every night of the week, although those on the weekend are the ones with the most visitors.
