In the process of editing my #btconf images from earlier this week:
I did take 1,641 images in total. 805 were left after the first pass, 406 after the second. Now down to 219 photos. I usually aim for something in the range of 150 or so images. Getting rid of the last 50, is always the hardest part.
Final thing after that will be sequencing. I mostly go with chronological here, but sometimes, moving a couple of images around makes for a more interesting flow.
I recently went to watch – and photograph – some live wrestling. wXw Academy hosts a monthly event at their training facility right here in Essen, where their new talents can perform in front of a live audience.
Among Bali’s many traditions cockfights are non-arguably brutal – and therefore illegal in most of the western world. What makes it even more vicious on Bali, compared to other countries, is the fact that here, they attach blades to the feet of the roosters. These small knifes are razor sharp and end fights much quicker – and bloodier – than a regular fight would.
We went to a Muay Thai tournament yesterday. It was the last event of the season here on Ko Lanta. KoHub got us VIP tickets, so I was able to get right next to the ring to document the spectacle from a very close distance.
