3×2 Photocast

I just found out that one of my images was discussed in the 3×2 Photocast. If you want to listen to it, check out episode two, where the two hosts, Martin and Jason, start talking about my image at 17 min 58 sec.

They were speculating on how it was made, and they assumed correctly in that it was completely candid. If you have been following my work for a while, you might know that the biggest part of my photographic practice is documenting my family life, especially my children and that I basically carry my camera everywhere. So, when this scene started to unfold, I was ready.

When my children sat down on the spinner, I immediately got behind them to capture what was happening from their point of view. I took me a couple of shots (all in a timeframe of about 60 seconds) to capture what I was looking for: One of the athletes being airborne and my children looking right at the action.
